Website Design Seminar at the Stock Exchange Studios

Two events in one on Friday 16th February.

A seminar from a very experienced Website Developer on how to make your website shine,

plus!

A tour of the London Stock Exchange TV studios!

Whether you're considering producing your first website, solitary web-page, or already have something "up and running" - and might be having problems with it - then this is for you.

Our host John Bowling is a very experienced website developer and an entertaining speaker, will take us through what we need to consider and how to set about producing something which will shine above our competitors!

  • Your own website - what you need to consider
  • Budget, a domain name, web hosting, design, content, blogs, and the competition
  • Promoting your website
  • Maintaining your website - Self-managed or by the designer or someone else?
  • A "surgery" where our guru will hopefully solve your website & software problems
  • Together with a week of email follow-ups after the event for further advice

Plus, the evening will be very flexible in terms of the topics that you would like to see covered.

But before all this kicks off, we have been invited to take a tour of the Stock Exchange Studios in their Media & Business Complex - somewhere that you've probably seen on TV (BBC, Ch. 4, Sky and CNN) but maybe don't know a great deal about. Our thanks to Dave Gladstone for making all this happen.

The nearest tube is St Paul's on the Central Line (Zone 1) - which is a two minute walk from the Cathedral. Mansion House, Cannon Street and Blackfriars stations on the District and Circle Line and main train lines - are a slightly longer walk away. (StreeMap)

Their address is: 10 Paternoster Square, EC4M 7LS (Wikimapia)

Attendees should arrive for the tour at 5pm and assemble in the Green Room. After being guided around the complex by Cliff Harden, the seminar will be hosted by John Bowling from six o'clock in Studio 4 and conclude at around eight.

There will be (s)light refreshment during the event & members may like to go on to a meal afterwards nearby at the Paternoster.
