Knight of Illumination
In June 2008, STLD Sponsors Clay Paky will be hosting their first lighting awards event, as announced last year at the ABTT 2007 exhibition.
The event will be known as The Clay Paky Knight of Illumination for the Year 2007, in association with the ALD and the STLD.
The ABTT exhibition will be held on 11th and 12th June 2008 at The Royal Horticultural Halls in Westminster and the presentation will be held on 11th June; please check here for more details of how to attend when they are released.
They would like to give recognition to lighting excellence in Television, Theatre and for Live Events, and have invited the STLD to help them gather the TV nominations to offer a judging panel.
To that end STLD members are invited to offer nominations in the following categories:
- Light Entertainment
- Special Events
- Drama
- Music Programmes
Nominations should be submitted in the form of a DVD or VHS tape that includes the clip to be judged which should be from three to ten minutes long, and should be accompanied by a completed entry form and a brief testament to the qualities demonstrated.
Any programmes made and first transmitted in the UK between June 1st 2007 and 15th March 2008 are eligible, with the closing date for entries being 31st March.
You do not have to have worked on a production to nominate it, and members are allowed to present their own work if they wish.
